This pan is huge. It's medium weight. The pan is big enough to cook a shank ham, 12 pound turkey, 3 whole chickens, or a casserole large enough to feed 25 hungry people. The quality is excellent. This pan performs well. I have purchased numerous bakeware pieces from OvenStuff. All are excellent quality. The nonstick coating is adhered, very well. Cleans ups easily in hot soapy water. With proper care, resist scratching and loss of nonstick coating, even when cooking foods that have a tendency to "bake on".This is better quality than Baker's Secret, Good Cook, and Cook's Essentials bakeware. The surface is extremely smooth. It doesn't have that slight grainy texture. I've noticed when nonstick pans have that grainy feel, they lose their coating quickly. The worst I've ever purchased is "Good Cook". I highly recommend OvenStuff....won't have to worry about eating peeling nonstick coating.If you bake cakes and pies, the OvenStuff Bundt and Pie pans are extra heavyweight and durable. They cook very evenly. Since using their Bundt cake pan, my cakes don't get over browned and scorched on the bottom. They bake up beautifully golden.

This is one of the best pans for the price I have, the sides of the pan are high enough to catch any juice that comes out of the food and it is sturdy enough to hold 15-20lb briskets without any bending or warping, I like the nonstick feature of the pan but dont have a need for it since I use it for grilling/smoking. Over all ,a heavy duty pan with high sides for a great price

Schlemmertopf is awesome! But arrived broken

The Schlemmertopf itself is great. The size we ordered is a small, good for cooking portions for two people, especially if you're on a health-conscious diet; otherwise you might want to order the medium one.Cooking with this is a breeze, and it's very healthy - no need to use oil or cooking spray to get juicy meats. Just soak the lid in water for 10 minutes, place your meats/veggies inside, season to your liking, and let cook... done!Our only complaint is that when this item arrived from Amazon, a corner piece of the lid was broken off (About a 2 inch piece I would say). It's not a deal breaker, though... we were tempted to send it back for a replacement, but decided it's not worth the time and effort. The Schlemmertopf still works just fine with the missing corner, no difference whatsoever.The Schlemmertopf was recommended by my wife's mom, who lives in Europe and has been cooking with it for quite some time.All in all, an A+++ product.

I have a small duck-shaped Schlemmertopf clay cooker that I really like but it is only big enough to fix a meal for two. I compared dimensions with the small cooker offered and decided it would allow me to prepare a meal for four. It does but it's a tight fit, although it performs beautifully. I used a stiff brush, as recommended, to try to remove all the black that the high heat bakes on, but was not 100% successful. I'd welcome any suggestions.

I was looking for an inexpensive pan for roasting turkeys and making gravy, ideally not made of aluminum. While this item was delivered promptly, we were disappointed with it on a number of counts. First and foremost, the enamel coating on the pan was defective. This led us to return the pan for a refund (which was handled by Amazon with no hassle at all). Second, the pan had ridges running its length which would have made gravy making pretty impossible (this was an attribute of the pan that I was unaware of when I ordered). Third, the rack was so flimsy and low (more of what I would describe as a cake cooling rack) that anything of substantial size would have "bottomed out" onto the pan, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a rack, I think. I really can't recommend this product and can't think of how it would be useful in a kitchen, my kitchen anyway.

I was looking for a large roasting pan that wasn't outrageously expensive. This is the largest I could find, but the inside of the roaster only measures 17.5". I am not crazy about the flat rack - other handled racks are much nicer. I will, however, most likely keep this pan, as it is the largest I could find.

I ordered this pan because it said it was 19". That is the minimum size I needed to accommodate a large prime rib for Easter Dinner. The pan was really only about 16" (which I already had) and so not big enough. The measurement listed must have included the handles and all. Anyway, the pan was useless to me and not worth the cost and trouble to send it back either so I was very disappointed. To be fair, the pan itself was pretty nice just not the size I thought it would be. I gave it away so someone may be very happy with it.

I have used it several times. It is solid piece of work. Not too heavy by any means. All in all, maybe my best purchase of the year. I paid a fair price and got something that is outstanding. That's the way it should be. I use it on a gas range. It is a step up from baking the chestnuts.

Broke in the oven after less than two months

Let me just say this seller is not worth the worthless bar pan I now own. I had this in my new oven with salmon baking when I heard a large "pop." I couldn't imagine what could have possibly made that sound when I looked in the oven to see the bar pan literally split in two and the oil from the salmon was dripping all over my brand new oven....(not happy!!!) I contacted the seller 3 times to find out what the status of a replacement was and got no "real" answer other than that they would need to contact pampered chef or that they were waiting to hear from pampered chef on how to handle....or may need to just go through pampered chef! Obviously, this seller was happy to make the sale but not willing to take care of any problems or issue a replacement, which was all I was asking for!! Go to someone reputable, do not go through this seller! I love pampered chef and every other product I have owned has been fine.... I just got a defective product and unfortunately the seller won't remedy!

Most cast-iron cookware can be scrubbed clean by hand without detergents and then dried immediately. Best Thanksgiving Turkey Ever

This pan (After a lot of cleaning and seasoning) made the best Thanksgiving Turkey ever... It was moist and perfect and a few guests told me it was the best they had ever had. I had never used Bayou as I love Lodge but they did not offer a roaster in this size (needed something for a 18lb turkey that JUST fit.) The quality of the cast iron was OK and needed more seasoning than a lodge that are pre seasoned but it did a GREAT JOB... I have cooked 2 small chickens in it and they were great as well...

After reading the other reviews I was a bit skeptical, but the problems seemed associated only with the inadequate packaging for shipping. With Amazon's free shipping, I thought I would just have them send me a replacement if necessary.The unit arrived without shipping damage. But it contained a large crack which was due to the original casting operation. Also the cover didn't fit. I decided to try ordering the Camp Chef to see if that was any better.On the packing slip, it states that the S&H was over $26. Amazon must be losing money on just shipping this unit, let alone having to pay for the return shipment via USPS! I can't believe that Amazon doesn't either pull the product or make Bayou Classic fix their horrendous QC problems.

I purchased this roaster from another retailer because I had a coupon but wanted to rate it here since I depend on Amazon reviews when it comes to making purchases.The first thing I did was take sandpaper to it & scrub it with hot soapy water to remove what was on it. After several times of seasoning I decided to try it out before Thanksgiving. I fried a chicken using two burners on my stove top and it turned out great, no sticking. I fried in it a couple more times to help with extra seasoning then it was time to do the turkey.Thanksgiving, I roasted a 24# turkey. The turkey fit nicely in the pan and came out very moist and flavorful. I wasn't able to use the lid with a turkey this large so I used heavy duty foil instead. I'm sure with a little smaller turkey the lid will work fine.The casting's not the best, but then again it's not Lodge. The lid doesn't fit perfectly, but it does fit and has a lip so it won't slid off and as with any cast iron, it's very, very heavy. Overall I'm extremely happy with this roaster and glad I made the purchase.

This broiler pan is described as being 17"x16"x1.8". In reality, it is only 13"x8-1/2"x1-1/2". Too small for my needs. I returned it. Hope they clear this up.

Despite what's said in another review, this pan is the size promised in the product guide on the buying page: 16.5 x 12.8 x 1.8 inches. The size and composition are fine. Hard to get excited about a broiler pan, but this one does the job nicely. Bottom is useful for roasting a small turkey or roast, also.

I ordered this prior to reading the reviews for some dumb reason. Once I did, I had some buyers remorse but it was too late to cancel the order. When it arrived, my wife seemed to like the chrome grill portion so we decided to keep it. Within a day or two, she put some steaks on it (too cold outside) and it did fine as you would expect any broiler to do.Later, she cleaned it up and said she didn't really need to put it in the dishwasher because it cleaned up so well. She put it in anyway and when it came out - it looked as well as when it came from the box. Two or three more uses yielded the same results. For use, she put foil in the bottom the first time and then a little water instead with subsequent uses and it cleaned with the same ease. Really can't ask more of an inexpensive broiler but give it four out of five stars because it works as it should, but doesn't stand out as perfection.

I was looking for a roasting pan for our 10 lb. turkey. This one looked perfect (said it fit up to 16 lbs.). I've used it once already and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet. I roasted a chicken and it worked beautifully with easy clean up after a soaking. I cannot imagine a high-end roasting pan could do better.

I used this to make a nice roast beef for Thanksgiving dinner it allows you to cook things evenly and I plan on getting a lot of use out of it also cleans up easily with the no stick surface

This rack was to replace an old one that had the non-stick surface wearing off. Unfortunately, upon first use, some of the non-stick surface of this new one came off.That suggests very shoddy workmanship indeed.

I've only used this product twice in the seven months that I've owned it. Each time the coating came off. After using it last night, washed it and the entire bottom rack lost its coating and developed rust spots. Awful product. I would return it if I could. Buyer beware!

I cooked a duck and my oven was swimming in oil. So I bought this roaster and now when I cook duck my oven stays clean and the duck is roasted beautifully, and the pan is so easy to clean. It's big enough to cook a beef or pork roast along with onions, potatoes and carrots for an easy meal. The metal seems thin, but I haven't had any trouble with chipping and I don't have a single complaint about it plus it was a great price. I wish I had bought one years ago.

After 30 years of American made goods vanishing and cheap plastic Chinese goods taking over the market, it is great to report Americans do it better.I forgot that manufactures used to make durable goods. You only had to buy something once, take care of it, and it would last forever.The construction quality is top notch. This is a quality product that will last a lifetime. I previously cooked with the roasting bags, but they have become expensive and do I really want to cook in plastic??? I didn't even remember there was such a thing as a roasting pan. This is a good size for a BIG roast,potatoes and carrots or an average sized turkey.I will be buying other products from Graniteware. Next on the list... the broiler pan.
