I read somewhat mixed reviews and was a little concerned about buying this but took a chance.I'm glad I did. Yes, it might seem a bit lighter in weight than what some of us "older" folks may rememberGrandma and Grandpa having, but it's still quite sturdy. I am thankful it's a bit lighter when I put a 24lbturkey in there, I really don't want the extra weight! The handles are in fact welded on at an angle.BUT, if you put the top on the pan and grasp the pan with the top ON it, you will realized, they weremost likely placed this way on purpose. You can actually get your hands around the top and bottom of the panwithout fear of the top slipping off!! So, for those who complain it was poor workmanship, or mis welded, I strongly disagree.This is a nice roomy pan, I like the shape and the price was right. I recommend it.

Sweet! Just like my grandma used to have! This is 10x better than that stupid nonstick one I had. This is indestructible unless you toss out the car window onto the freeway.
