I cooked my 15lb Christmas turkey with this rack.The handles worked great in lifting the turkey from the roasting pan & the easy opening meant no lifting off the rack to the chopping board. My sister & sister in law both asked where I got it so that can get one also. Very easy to clean & store.

The innovative design is the most important feature of this roasting rack. Instead of wrestling with somewhat slippery cooked whole chickens, turkey breasts, roasts or even a small turkey, with this rack the meat is securely moved from the pan to the serving platter or carving board, then the pin at the bottom is removed and both sides are pulled away. The task is quick and easy.The meat cooks without touching the bottom of the pan, permitting fat to drain off so it accessible for gravy or disposal. The rack has a non-stick finish, which like all of these coatings, requires special care. It is safe at temperatures below 500 degrees, but I would hesitate to use it above 400 degrees. If a high temperature is required to start roasting, I'd begin without the rack and then transfer the meat to the rack once the oven temperature is reduced. It is also helpful to lightly oil the areas of the rack where the meat will rest.The rack should not be used for broiling or cleaned in the dishwasher, and as is usual with anything with a non-stick finish, metal utensils, harsh abrasives, scrubbing pads and metal bristle brushes should not be used. With the pin removed, both sides of the rack rest within each other, so space requirements for storage are minimal. I own both the small and large roasting rack and am very happy with them both.
